Jalore, Falna, Ranakpur, Kumbhalgarh
Jalore, the fort fought by Allaudin Khilji. On the hilltop. I’ve seen it. I was exhausted by the time I reached the palace. Before 1000 years, how they’d have built the fort still questions my mind.
Kanhaddev was defeated by Allaudin Khilji. I don’t know how did Allaudin Khilji does but on the way, I took half for 10 times. It was so tough to climb through the steps are built.
The first fort, I’ve visited in Rajasthan. And I loved it till date and could find no match to it.
Falna is a town nearby Jalore. I’ve visited Falna and loved the female sculptures of the Jain temple there. The marble stone sculptures and carvings of female figures are of no match. So lovely and so erotic.
From Falna, I’ve visited Ranakpur. The Ranakpur Jain temple is one of it’s kind. It’s the heritage of Jain art and architecture and my incapability to cover all of them with my camera. Huge and wonderful Jain idols are of no match. Somewhere, sometime, I’ve promised myself that, I’ll take my wife after marriage.
Superb Ranakpur Jain Temple was so beautiful and exciting that I cannot describe much in words.
Ranakpur to Kumbhalgarh.
Before writing about Kumbhalgarh, writing about the way towards is most important. My journey was by the Jeep, and fortunately, I was sitting on top of the Jeep. Mountains and valleys in the sunshine were magnificent. Glittering trees and their shades. Wow.
I was highly impressed and convinced.
Then the Kumbhal Garh fort.
Oh my God! What is it and where is it, and how’s it built? So long, so huge. Its wall is second longest after china wall. It has a great palace and many temples in it. I wish to be there again and again.
Jagdeesh temple in Udaipur is wonderful in art and architecture. The way towards Jagdish temple is full of shops of art and artifacts. I loved both the temple and the shops. The foreign tourists are many too.
I wish to visit Jagdish temple again.
